GMC designed a new 80,000-square-foot manufacturing plant for Cape Horn Marine. The pre-engineered metal building with tilt-up concrete wall panels utilizes the newest and most effective equipment to protect the environment inside and outside of their work site.
Emissions and by-products of the boat manufacturing process were addressed by incorporating solutions into the construction, including adding an exhaust system that could filter out the styrene emissions that are generated from the fiberglass utilized in boat hulls, incorporating a new acetone recycling machine into the new facility that eliminates waste going in the land fill, and also including the installation of a new solid waste compaction system that helps reduce the volume of material that could eventually end up in a landfill.
