Since joining GMC in 1991, Galen has proven himself to be a leader in the firm and in the community. Galen founded the firm’s Environmental division in 1993 and also served as president of the firm’s southern region before his current role as Chief Operations Officer. He also serves on the Board of Directors. Galen works closely with the firm’s department leaders and the corporate services team to strategically plan and support day-to-day employee activities and business operations. He serves on the Alabama Shakespeare Festival Executive Committee, Boys and Girls Club of the River Region Board and is a graduate of Leadership Montgomery. He is also an appointed member of the Alabama Department of Public Health Environmental Committee and a member of American Society of Civil Engineers, American Society of Professional Engineers, National Registry of Environmental Professionals, Business Council of Alabama and the Environment and Energy Committee.
