Goodwyn Mills Cawood (GMC) has bolstered its landscape architecture expertise with the addition of Steve Provost, PLA as vice president of landscape architecture in Birmingham. Steve has more than 30 years of landscape architecture experience, working on notable projects that increase the quality of life for communities throughout the Southeast – a passion for Provost.

His experience is vast, ranging from urban developments and city centers to parks, trails and university campuses. He has worked on prominent projects throughout his career, including popular recreational and community hubs, parks and town centers in Alabama, Florida and Georgia.

Provost’s leadership skills have afforded him opportunities to provide strategic direction for landscape architecture and planning services across a corporate footprint, which will be of great value in his role at GMC with the firm having reach across seven states. In addition, he brings a wealth of experience managing client relationships, as well as project team coordination.

“I’m thrilled to join a collaborative firm that provides the multidisciplinary environment I’ve become familiar with throughout my career,” Provost said. “Having architecture, civil engineering, environmental, transportation and so many other services under one roof is so valuable for those we serve. I’m eager to see the impact we can make for our current and future clients.”

Steve is a registered landscape architect in Alabama, Florida and Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from Auburn University. He is also a LEEDBD+C Accredited Professional. GMC is delighted to add Provost to the team with plans of continued growth in the Birmingham area and throughout the Southeast.
