TCAT Pulaski creating space for new in-demand programs with expansion project
June 28, 2024 · Projects
Earlier this month, Goodwyn Mills Cawood (GMC) joined Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) Pulaski representatives and developers, as well as state, county and city leaders, to break ground on a $30 million renovation and expansion project.
Once completed in 2026, TCAT Pulaski will have the capability to accommodate more students, strengthen in-demand programs and provide students with new learning opportunities to prepare them for today’s workforce.
The addition will include two new buildings, totaling 29,639 square feet, as well as multiple courtyard areas to connect the spaces and create a comfortable campus for students. Programs such as transportation, cosmetology and health services, along with administrative space, will be housed in these areas, as well as numerous classrooms and a library.
The design also consists of 7,854 square feet of renovations, expanding the building to include welding and space for industrial, mechanical and technical expertise.
GMC is providing architecture, interior design, environmental, civil engineering, and geotechnical engineering services.
Project partners include HOAR Construction, Henderson Engineers, Structural Design Group and KITA Landscape Design.
