April 24, 2023 · Projects
Jacksonville State University (JSU) has officially broken ground on the new Loring and Debbie White Football Complex.
The two-story football complex will replace the existing field house at JSU Stadium and feature a game day club level/player lounge and field club area. The second level will include eight suites and two corporate super suites with deck access. The state-of-the-art facility will house training equipment, technology, hydrotherapy, coaches’ offices and meeting rooms, with a central player concourse that will allow athletes to move efficiently through the building to maximize training time. Finally, a football hall of fame will be developed with graphics and displays highlighting the football program’s history and accomplishments.
Goodwyn Mills Cawood (GMC) is the project architect, in addition to providing civil engineering, landscape architecture, interior design, geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing. Other project team members include Brasfield and Gorrie, general contractor; Kemp Management Solutions, program manager; and Henderson Engineers, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection engineer.
