GMC Day of Service 2022
December 19, 2022 · Community
On Friday, November 18, GMC held its fifth annual Building Communities Day of Service. Every year, our team partners with local organizations throughout our footprint to serve in various ways, with each office taking on a service project, or projects, within their community. By doing this, our employees get to work together outside of their day-to-day office activities and give back in a tangible way.
This year, our offices partnered with the following organizations:
Atlanta, Georgia: Riverwalk Atlanta
Auburn, Alabama: Auburn Fire Department Toy Drive
Augusta, Georgia: Turn Back the Block
Birmingham, Alabama: Bush Hills Community Garden & Urban Farm; Alabama Aerospace & Aviation High School
Columbia, South Carolina: Mental Illness Recovery Center, Inc. (MIRCI)
Daphne, Alabama: Baldwin County Sheriff’s Boys Ranch
Greenville, South Carolina: Sterling Center; Shalom Recovery
Huntsville, Alabama: Free 2 Teach
Mobile, Alabama: Dumas Wesley Community Center
Montgomery, Alabama: Pine Level Elementary School; AHERO; Common Ground Montgomery; Kindred Hospice; Humane Society of Elmore County; The Crossings at Eastchase
Nashville and Brentwood, Tennessee: Pearl-Cohn High School
New Orleans, Louisiana: Second Harvest Food Bank; Green Light New Orleans
Pensacola, Florida: Ronald McDonald House Northwest Florida
Sarasota, Florida: All Faiths Food Bank
Savannah, Georgia: America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia

We had a great time serving our communities this year, and can’t wait until next year!
