About GMC Greenville

Along the Swamp Rabbit Trail in Unity Park, you will find GMC’s Greenville office. After celebrating the firm’s 15th year in Greenville in 2022, our team members moved to a new office in the middle of the 60-acre park. At our core, we believe in “building communities,” and being in the center of the park allows GMC employees to be an integral part of the growing and thriving city. Our Greenville office was designed around our people at the forefront of every decision made. GMC brought new life into the 80-year-old, 10,000-square-foot office space by exposing brick, structural elements and wood roof deck while creating a 21st century work environment with several spaces for collaboration. The office also features a shaded outdoor conference area, a green area to host events or games and a shower facility inside so people can ride their bikes, walk, or run any time throughout the day. Ranked among some of the top architecture and engineering firms in the GSA Business Report, GMC is proud to be part of the Greenville community.

Greenville Projects

GMC was secured by Laurens County Water and Sewer Commission (LCWSC) to evaluate alternatives to incorporate the new surface water treatment plant on Lake Greenwood into their existing distribution system.
The new water treatment plant and raw water intake on Lake Greenwood were awarded in two phases: Phase I consisted of an evaluation to define the design conditions, and Phase II consisted of executing the design. Defining the design conditions in Phase I consisted of population and flow projections, public involvement, permitting, hydraulic analysis as well as piloting of four treatment technologies.
Based on the recommendations from the preliminary engineering report that was completed for the Peters Creek Pump Station Elimination project, ReWa secured GMC to provide detailed design, geotechnical investigation, environmental investigation, permitting, bidding, and construction administration and inspection services for the project. The Phase I portion of the project consists of 6,500 linear feet of 21-inch PVC gravity sewer, eliminating two lift stations.
GMC worked with the Startex-Jackson-Wellford-Duncan (SJWD) Water District to develop a master plan and concept of their administrative campus and conduct a facility assessment for other properties owned and operated by the water district including public parks facilities.
In 2015, GMC and Greeley and Hansen were hired to perform a Water Resource Master Plan for Greenville Water (GW). GW is supplied water from Lake Keowee and two mountain reservoirs (Table Rock and North Saluda) in which the entire mountain watersheds (approximately 30,000 acres) are underdeveloped and owned by GW.
The Allen N. Reeves Football Operations Complex at Clemson University is a 159,500-square-foot, two-story building designed to utilize the architectural character of the existing indoor practice facility on campus. Guests, students and athletes enter the facility through the Hall of Tradition, which includes equipment displays and the Orange Experience viewing room, before continuing through the concourse to several additional spaces.
